David Rose – General Manager

David has 22 years experience in the mining industry, starting his electrical apprenticeship in Moura in 1979 and then staying on as an underground electrician at the completion of his apprenticeship.

In 1984 David took up a position as shift electrician at Riverside Mine and remained in this position when Goonyella and Riverside joined. Dave worked in all areas of the mine, CHPP and field, until his departure.

After developing a successful family cotton farm at Theodore, David returned to the mining industry in 2002, taking up a position with G&S Electrical where his duties included washplant, dragline and shovel maintenance shift relief at Callide, Moura, Oaky Creek, Peak Downs, Saraji, Goonyella Riverside and Collinsville.

Since 2004, David has also carried out the following roles - Electrical Supervisor and EEM at Peak Downs Mine Field (2004), EEM and Plant Superintendent at Moranbah North CHPP (2006) and CHPP Manager Coppabella Mine (2008).

In early September David joined the team at Mastermyne Services. David brings experience in Dragline and CHPP upgrades as well as the preventative and statutory maintenance to keep them running safely and efficiently. David's aim is to maintain the high work ethics of Mastermyne Services in a safe team environment and to work with the client on all projects undertaken.

Michael Hall - Operations Manager

Completing an apprenticeship as a Boilermaker / Welder 1st Class at the Copper Refineries (MIM) in Townsville, Michael has worked in various Trades and Supervisory roles throughout the Construction, Mining, Refining and Manufacturing Industries around Australia. After spending ten years as a tradesman working for various organisations involved in the contract maintenance industry, Michael accepted the opportunity and progressed into senior management.

Michael has been involved in Senior Management for the past fifteen years, his previous appointments include Regional Manager for an national organisation delivering onsite maintenance and project management solutions to the mining and refining industries, Operations Manager for a reputable Engineering and Maintenance Company and has come to Mastermyne to manage our Services Division.

He has successfully managed the delivery of trades and services to organisations such as Transfield Services, ADI Limited, Coca-Cola Amatil, BHP Billiton, KCGM, Shell, NSS, United Group, Rio Tinto, KJV/Woodside and many others, naturally part of this success is attributed to his ability to form relationships and trusted partnerships. Michael has experience dealing with the needs of large and small companies and also has some diverse industry training for example; Industrial Relation Negotiations, Selection Interviewing (AIM), Young Managers Course (AIM), Certificate IV Workplace Trainer & Assessor (Total Human Capitol).

With this modern training and in excess of 20 years practical experience, Michael has the proven ability to develop key relationships with his clients and understand their individual needs.
